Laurel Highlands Model Railroad Club, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) charitable and educational non-profit group incorporated under the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania for the purpose of raising funds for donatin to selected local charities, promoting tourism to uptown Somerset, educating the public and club members of the contributions of railroading to the economic development of the local areas and providing members recreation and pleasure through activites associated with model railroading.

We function as a model railroad club raising funds through our seasonal model railroad displays by collecting entrance fees, selling merchandise in our gift shop, advertising space on train cars, and small games of chance.

These funds also go towards meeting our needs for such expenses as rent, insurance, utilities, and etc. We want the major emphasis in our fund raising and donation solicitations to become a conduit through our organization. We are not an organization with needs, but one that meets needs.
